Important Update: New Confirmation Program
The Archdiocese of Hartford, through the Office of Faith Formation and Parish Life, is launching an exciting initiative to reimagine adolescent catechesis in middle school. The goal is to help our youth grow in and embrace a lived relationship with Jesus Christ. As part of this initiative, the age of Confirmation will be lowered to the spring of 8th grade. This change aligns with a nationwide movement to confirm youth earlier, allowing them to receive the grace of this sacrament during a pivotal time in their lives.
As a result, beginning this upcoming school year (2026-2027),
all 7th-8th graders will begin preparing for Confirmation.
If you have a rising 7th, 8th or 9th grade student in Catholic school or in Faith Formation, please join us on Wednesday, June 3rd at 6:30pm in the church hall for an Informational Meeting regarding what this transition will look like in our Parish and how it will affect your child’s sacramental preparation.

Program Details
Classes will meet approximately twice each month throughout the Formation year. Students in 7th and 8th grade will attend classes from 6:30–8:00pm, and families will select either the Monday or Tuesday session for the entire year. 9th grade classes will meet on Sundays from 9:00–10:15am.
Families whose children are enrolled only in the Confirmation program are not required to attend the monthly Family Faith Formation sessions. Confirmation students will participate in their own scheduled classes, retreats, service opportunities, and formation activities specifically designed for their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
